Growing Pollution in India

As we all know that pollution is one of the major concerns which are not only in India but across the globe. The pollution is classified into several types that include air pollution, noise pollution, water pollution, domestic waste, industrial waste and pollution, vehicular pollution, hospital waste, solid and liquid waste, etc.

Moreover, the toxic levels of air and water pollution in India is creating quite a menace while adding to the severity, the changing weather conditions have locked the pollutants in the air and made the situation worse. Besides, even doctors are warning all the individuals of dire consequences and discouraging them from stepping outdoors. However, there are some of the reasons behind this soaring pollution which includes:

Crop burning

This is one of the main reasons of rapidly increasing the air pollution levels in India which is mainly by the farmers in the cities. As in example, farmer’s burns rice stubbles in Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh which is estimated that approximately 40 million tonnes of crop are set afire by these states. Moreover, the wind carries all the pollutants as well as dust particles which have got locked in the air.

Traffic pollution

This is also the major concern which is caused by the traffic menace in India contributing to the air and smog pollution in which the air quality index has reached severe levels. Moreover, some of the major researches have declared vehicular emission as a major contributor to India’s increasing air pollution. However, as the winter sets in, the dust particles and pollutants in the air become unable to move which as results, these pollutants get locked in the air and affect weather conditions that results in smog.

Over population

This is another reason in India which adds up to the various types of pollution whether it is air pollution or noise pollution. Despite the ban on the crackers sales are common sites which may not be the top reasons for the smog, but definitely contributed to its build up. However, if we talk about the garbage dumps which is also causing air pollution and building up smog in the air.
