Kithugala, located under 100 kilometers from Colombo, in Sri Lanka, is one of the most famous places to experience white water rafting.
5. Windsurfing and Water Surfing
The Arugambay beach in Sri Lanka is located on the south east coast, in the district of Ampara. It is undoubtedly one of the best surfing spots in Sri Lanka. It also happens to be one of the top ten surfing spots in the world, so you know you’re in for a real ride! You can take the A4 through Colombo to reach the said area. Arugambay has lent itself to not only amateur surfers but also to professional surfers for surfing competitions. April through October is the best time to visit this place and make the most of it. Bentota, in the south west coast of Sri Lanka, lets you enjoy windsurfing. November until April is the ideal time to indulge yourself in windsurfing.
6. Bike tours in the Mountains
The topography of Sri Lanka is so diverse, making it ideal for a plethora of different adventure sports and activities. Mountain biking happens to be one of them. The rugged roads, tea plantations, uneven roads, national parks and wild jungles cater to all your adventure needs. Don’t forget to carry some food, water and cycle spare parts while biking, just in case of any emergencies.
